Your primary work location will be the HPS Birmingham office, located at Selecta Avenue, Unit 5 Coleman Building, Great Barr, B44 9EH, where you will be required to work on-site 5 days a week. After a two-month review, the role may transition to a hybrid arrangement, allowing you to work from home for 2 days and from the office for 3 days each week.
You will be comfortable balancing a variety of tasks, which will include answering telephone and email enquiries from clients and colleagues; maintaining records, databases and systems; handling various tasks in the HR Department.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
● Providing HR administrative support, drafting any HR documents/reports
● Employee onboarding/offboarding
● Drafting and mailing customer correspondence
● Updating company databases.
● Providing support in activities regarding purchasing of equipment, services, and supplies
● Recruitment and selection
● Employee communication & engagement
● Policies and Procedures Formulation and updating
●Involvement in Learning & Development – Maintaining training record and booking training sessions
Towards the end of your apprenticeship, you will be given the opportunity to complete the CIPD Level 3 qualification, fully funded by HPS.

At HPS as a Human Resources Assistant Apprentice, you will be working towards the HR Support Level 3 apprenticeship, over the duration of 18 months, alongside your daily roles and responsibilities.
Desired Skills
• Competent user of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook • Good communication and literacy in English is a must as you will be dealing with over 400 employees • Good communication skills

Qualifications required
No qualifications required, but experience with an administrative/HR based role is desired, but not essential!

Following the apprenticeship, there is the possibility for a permanent role with HPS, alongside ongoing training and development.
