The Personal Trainer Level 3 programme will allow learners to demonstrate industry leading professional practice, providing specialist tailored advice and guidance to customers.

If you meet most of these responsibilities as part of your existing role, or if you could be supported to meet these responsibilities during your apprenticeship, you could be suitable for this programme.

 

  • Is your role in a leisure facility with a gym?
  • Have access to a wide range of fitness equipment e.g. cardiovascular machines and free weights?
  • Able to grow your personal trainer client base within your workplace?
  • Able to work with clients over a long term period e.g 12 weeks to plan, deliver, review and amend training plans?
  • Able to grow your personal trainer client base within your workplace?
  • Have resources/facilities available to carry out exercise sessions with small groups?

Personal Trainer Enhanced

If you don't already hold a Gym Instructor Level 2 qualification, we offer an enhanced version of the Personal Trainer Level 3 apprenticeship that includes the IAO Certificate in Gym Instructing Level 2 qualification.

Who is it for?

For those working in the fitness industry as an instructor, looking to develop their skills and knowledge further to empower individuals to improve their overall health, fitness and lifestyle through personal training.

Blended delivery

1-1 facilitated learning sessions with Lifetime Learning Coach, Face-to-face and remote teaching, Self study via online learning platform – Aptem, Practical workshops – Attended days with a Lifetime Learning Coach, Online workshops – Sessions with a Lifetime Learning, and Coach to support the practical workshops.

End point assessment

3 hour practical observation with Q&A, 15 minute presentation followed by 15 minutes of questioning, and a 90 minute interview.

Please note, you'll need to be employed to learn on one of our apprenticeships, and your manager will need to authorise this (as it's your company who pay for the programme!) so please ensure you have their consent to enrol before you proceed.
