Trade Suppliers play a vital role in ensuring an efficient flow of goods and service between manufacturers and their skills trade customer base, with Team Members developing great knowledge of the products they sell.

If you meet most of these responsibilities as part of your existing role, or if you could be supported to meet these responsibilities during your apprenticeship, you could be suitable for this programme.

 

  • Do you work with a recognised Trade Supplier operation rather than a recognised Retail operation?
  • Able to communicate with both internal and external customers in order to promote your organisation’s service offer?
  • Can identify and offer associated products and services to customers that complement their initial request?
  • Do you use a range of systems, equipment and technology to carry out your role?
  • Can demonstrate negotiation skills during customer interactions?
  • Required to describe and offer product and service options to meet the identified needs of your customers?
  • Do you use a range of stock control systems and understand why one might be preferred over another e.g. computerised or manual?
